Speech Pathology
Every child communicates and connects with the world in their own unique way. Some children may need extra support with speech, language, feeding, or social skills. We're here to support you and your child with care that is personalised, playful, and respectful of every child’s strengths and differences.
Areas that we commonly support include:
Early Support for Language and Development
We offer play-based, child-led therapy to help little ones develop early communication skills – from first words to full sentences. We work on shared attention, turn-taking, following directions, and building understanding in fun and meaningful ways.
Speech Sounds
If your child is hard to understand or their pronunciation doesn’t seem age-appropriate, we can assess their speech sounds and provide gentle, supportive therapy to help them be more clearly understood.
School-Age Language Support
Some children find it tricky to keep up with classroom language – like following instructions, understanding new words, or expressing themselves clearly. We can assess and support school-aged children who are finding these areas challenging.
Literacy Support
We use the Sounds Write program to help children build strong reading, spelling, and writing skills. If you're concerned your child is falling behind with literacy, we can provide an assessment or tailored intervention.
AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
For children who need extra support to communicate, we offer tools like visual supports, communication apps, or sign systems. We’ll explore what fits best for your child and introduce it gently during sessions if needed.
Social Skills
We offer one-on-one or group sessions to help children learn how to connect with others – whether it’s making friends, understanding social cues, or navigating the school environment.
Stuttering and Fluency
If your child is under 6 and showing signs of stuttering, we provide evidence-based support to help them speak more smoothly and confidently.
Feeding and Picky Eating
Mealtimes can be tricky for children with sensory sensitivities or a limited diet. Our speech pathologists and occupational therapists offer supportive feeding sessions – individually or in our friendly Food Explorer groups.
Neuroaffirming Support for Neurodivergent Children
Every brain is different and that’s something we celebrate. We offer respectful, tailored support for children with neurodivergent profiles. Therapy is always shaped around your child’s strengths, interests, and goals, with plenty of fun along the way.
