Group Therapy 

These groups combine the skills and knowledge of 2 or more therapy disciplines. They are designed to meet children's interests through a fun and flexible program, provide positive peer models to help children reach their goals together, foster friendships and apply social skills learning to structured but practical play based situations.

Food Explorers 
  • Runs once a week in school term, and as an intensive option every school holidays 

  • Small group 'food play' sessions for children aged 3-9

  • Helping picky eaters to explore new foods through play (younger kids) or scientific discovery (older kids)

  • Following the evidence based SOS Approach

  • Includes a sensory (food based) warm up activity and a range of 'food trials' of new foods

  • Older group (6+ years) is specially designed to target social skills, teamwork, negotiation and independence

  • Grouped by age and abilities

  • Run by a Speech Pathologist and/or Occupational Therapist

Prep for Prep (Spring/Summer holidays only)
  • Small group prep readiness groups

  • Boosting listening, language, phonics, pre-writing, pre-literacy and social skills

  • 2.5 hours with a morning tea break

  • Run by our Allied health team: Speech Pathologist led with OT and music therapy involvement

 

Holiday Handwriting Helper
  • Available every school holidays only

  • Small group sessions for boosting handwriting skills for school age kids

  • Using fine motor strengthening, letter formation and fluency building

  • Grouped by age and ability

  • Run by an experienced Occupational Therapist

Foundation Fine Motor Group
  • Available every school holidays only

  • Suitable for Kindergarten and Prep aged students

  • Fun and creative small group sessions for fine motor strengthening and dexterity, including practising pre-writing shapes, pencil grip and early letter formations

  • Run by an experienced Occupational Therapist

 

Literacy Lockdown
  • Available every school holidays only

  • Small group Sounds Write sessions to boost phonics and literacy skills for school age children

  • Grouped by age and ability

  • Run by a Speech Pathologist who is a Sounds Write Practitioner

Social Skills Shaper
  • Small group social skills sessions for school age children

  • Utilizing interest areas and building friendships

  • Teamwork and cooperation through game play

  • Grouped by age and interests

  • Run by an Occupational therapist

Sensory Exploration Sesh
  • Small group sessions combining gross motor and sesory play for children with sensory and regulation difficulties.

  • Grouped by age and interests

  • Run by an experienced Occupational therapist

 

Sing, Stomp and Say - Music Playgroups
  • Small group playgroups based around musical play and exploring instruments

  • Develops interaction, turn-taking and play skills

  • Engaging and fun, child-led

  • Grouped by age (0-2 Baby Music and 2-5 Playgroup

  • Run by a registered music therapist (and joined by a speech pathologist or AHA based on numbers)

  • Groups of up to 5 at our Kenmore clinic

  • Larger group sessions available to run at your local daycare or Kindergarten
